Identical construction to the butterfly mat, with a train print across the top. Double layer padding, an attached pillow, a write-on name tag and backpack-style straps, so it rolls up and gets carried by the child who sleeps on it. Made from polyester and cotton with a polyester fill, and the pillow lifts out before the rest goes in the wash.
The pattern does more than decoration at this age. A child who recognizes their own mat picks it up and puts it back in the right place without being told twice.
Cotton at the face, so the surface is not slick against a cheek, and polyester through the fill for loft that comes back after being rolled up all morning.
Rolling keeps the padding from creasing into a permanent line down the middle, which is what happens to a folded mat by the end of a school year.
