Simpler than the Metra, and easier to live with because of it. The Parker puts its pockets where you can reach them without opening anything: large exterior pockets outside, large interior pockets inside, no maze of small compartments. The shoulder strap is removable and adjustable, so the same bag works carried by the handles like a tote or slung across the body. Black floret is a small floral on a black ground, quiet from a distance.

Big pockets rather than many

Fewer, larger compartments beat a dozen small ones once you are packing in a hurry. Everything has an obvious place, and nothing needs to be squeezed.

Removable strap

Take the strap off and it is a tote for a short errand; clip it on and it goes across the body when both hands are needed. The strap adjusts for whichever parent is carrying it.
