Cotton is the reason to pick this one over the other colorway: it takes up more water per pass and it softens with each wash rather than staying the same. Same three-piece count, same coordination with the hooded towels, same trip through the machine with the rest of the bath things.

All cotton

The fiber is listed at 100 percent cotton, which absorbs rather than pushing water around. On a newborn's face that is most of what a washcloth is for.

Softer over time
